About the Author

  Carol Hamm believes that learning conquers fear. She wrote this book to help children identify and visualize practical medical technology through a whimsical adventure. Carol was born in New York City and traveled extensively due to her father military career. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida in Tampa and her master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton. With 14 years teaching experience and being a transplant recipient herself, Carol has identified and fulfilled the need for children and parents to feel comfortable with medical situations they will encounter. She currently resides in Boca Raton, Florida.  

About the Illustrator

  A native of Wisconsin, Michelle Morse has a degree in Illustration from Syracuse University. Always a working artist, she also taught music until the demand for her murals led her to full time artistic endeavors. She is known as an illustrator and a mural artist throughout South Florida, where she lives in Coral Springs with her husband.
